BLACK SEA EXPORTER'S UNION

Black Sea Hazelnut and Hazelnut Exporter's Union , forming basis of current Black Sea Exporter Unions, was established as the origin of Turkish Hazelnut Exporter's Union in Giresun, 1940.

It took the name of Black Sea Exporter's Union by being established Istanbul Hazelnut Exporter's Union in 1951 and also took name of Black Sea Hazelnut and Hazelnut Exporter's Union with an arrangement in 1986.

It was included among dependent establishments of The Foreign Trade Undersecretariat together with other Exporter Unions with Law 4059 on "The Structures And Duties of The Treasury Undersecretairat And The Foreign Trade Undersecretariat" published in Official Gazette No 22147 of 20/12/1994 .

The arising requirements after increasing in exportation of other products than hazelnut and hazelnut products in our Region as a result of changes following the disintegration of Soviet Union, Black Sea Cereals Pulses and Oily Seeds Exporter's Union and Black Sea Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Exporter's Union has been established under Black Sea Hazelnut and Hazelnut Products Exporter's Union with The Export Decree No 97/34 published in Official Gazette No 23218 of 02/01/1998, and the name of our General Secretariat has been changed as Black Sea Exporter Unions in parallel with that development.

Duties of Exporter's Unions which is defined in 5 Article of The Decision on "Foundation, Operation, Fields of Activity, Branches, Rights and Obligation of Members of Exporter's Unions" with The Council of Ministers Decision published in Official Gazette No 21659 of 05/08/1994 and finally Official Gazette No 24204 of 18/10/2000 are as follows.

To protect professional morality and solidarity

To try to develop the exportation in accordance with The State's interest

To make studies and suggestions in order to provide the materials in its field of activities in respect to production and potential foreign demand of export in terms of variety, sort and quantity.

To make analysis, to hold course and seminar, and as well to found trusts or get into existent trusts for performing its objectives and duties provided that permission of the Undersecretariat, to make aids to educational institutions, to promote to set up and to contribute to new ones related to its sectors in order to increase export of goods in its field of operation and benefit better from them.

To try to solve the problems that its members meet in their activities, to make attempts with authorised officials for the right of its members who are determined to suffer wrong of the buyers.

To set and develop relationship with international associations in terms of professional affairs in accordance with its member's and The State's interest

To set up service units and to make suggestions to Joint Board of Directories in order to open oversea agency provided that the permission of the Undersecretariat by considering budget means.

To buy, to build, to sell, to rent real property and to mortgage in order to serve its employees and members. And to carry out these operations by considering budget means.

To set up businesses and establishments in order to serve its members and to participate in existing ones.

To arrange exhibitions, to participate in fairs and exhibitions, to make promotion activities, to set up labs and to build up contract of sale

To carry out duties given by the Undersecretariat in accordance with its field of activities.

There are Liaisons offices of Black Sea Exporter's Unions in Ordu, Unye, Samsun , Sinop and Tokat.
